What defines the compatibility band?
The loudest tone may be an upper mode. The screen uses the lowest frequency that repeats across taps; it may still be an upper mode if a lower one was missed. A matching pitch cannot identify the alloy or prove the coin is genuine.
One tap per file, with quiet before it and at least half a second of ringing afterward.
